I write because....

I write because I can
I write because I want to
I write because I hate to write
I write to read
I write to show my knowledge
I write to relieve stress
I write because the paper acts as a best friend that doesn’t talk back
I write because I can share feelings that won’t be passed on
I write to express myself in a different way
I write because I need to.

Reading Response #7

Waiting for You

By: Susane Colasanti

I have been reading this book for a while now because I find myself not having the time I need to read through the book quickly. During this reading post I read about how Marisa’s favorite aunt and her are look through EHarmony to find her a guy.  I know this is her favorite aunt because she says “my aunt Katie is the coolest person I know she’s totally fun and spontaneous.” When going through EHarmony they find all these guys but none of them are that cute. Then Katie comes out and says has been on a date twice going to be three times with a guy she met off of EHarmony. While I don’t read that much at a time I do always find a way to read a little bit of this book, and I’m glad I do because it is a great book! And one day I will actually finish it.

Plagiarism

I think that if so many college kids are doing this then the professors aren’t doing their job. If they are so against this then they should make sure all college kids should understand not to this and if they do, do this then they should be aware of the punishment that is held against this. I agree that its wrong and you shouldn’t do it but I also believe that professors aren’t doing a good enough job to stop it.

Reader's Response #6

                                                                           Waiting for You
                                                                        By: Susane Colasanti

As I continue to read this book I seem to find myself enjoying this book more and more. Somehow this book makes me lost in it, in a good way. It makes time fly like I never even saw the past hour that has gone by.  I have found that if I chose a book that catches my interest then I am able to sit and read it for hours.   During this reading response I read about a nerdy kid named Darius.  “He’s the kid who in front of every class, raising his hand to answer every question.” This is Marisa’s description of the “nerdy” kid. In the next chapter I read about Marisa going over to Nash’s house t write there lab report.  Nash is a very quiet kind of guy that really doesn’t talk very much especially about girls; but out of nowhere he asks Marisa’s advice on a girl. Marisa doesn’t really know what to think because this isn’t Nash at all but she goes ahead and gives him the advice anyways. I believe that Nash asked Marisa for her opinion and advice because the girl he is crushing on is her; but we will found out as I continue reading.

Post Proposal

The topic I have chosen is the Kardashians. The reason I picked this topic is because America is obsessed with the way the Kardashians live their life but why is this? I can relate to this because I am one of the million people that keep up with them. I watch the show because they are very entertaining and you never know what they will do. Many Americans watch the Kardashians because they are popular in other things besides their show. The Kardashian girls Kim, Kourtney, and khloe have opened their own business called dash which has been very successful. The family also does other things that help with getting the name out. There are many different opinions that can be made over this show but I believe that people love them so much because of the things that they have done; like the dash store and the modeling that the girls do. Also the guys that the girls date help as well. For example Khloe is married to Lamar Odem and Kim has dated many well-known guys but the biggest deal now is how Kim had a baby daughter and is engaged with Kanye West.

Readers Response 5

                      Waiting for You
                  By: Susane Colasanti
In this reading response I read about how Marisa's family had a guest over for dinner that their mom works with. They were all sitting at the dinner table eating when Marisa's sister decides to start a big argument with the guest about energy sources and global warming. Towards the end of the dinner the family see's that their mother is acting different towards this guest than any other guest. This guest was a male and I believe that the mother secretly has a crush on him. The next chapter talks about how " sterling and I do something together very Saturday night. It's our thing. It helps us feel slightly less pathetic that we don't have boyfriends." This is Marisa talking about what they will be doing this Saturday night. They go down to the beach and go the the "mall" and run into Marisa's crush. After that it's talks about how Marisa is all nervous and the chapter ends after that. It's been a great book so far and I can't wait to read on.

Article 1 Response

I read this article by skimming and reading the parts of the article that caught my eye most. I didn't read all of this article beause parts of it was so boring for me that I couldn't stand to sit there and read that part. This article is talking all about how google has changed all of our lives, not for the better but for the worse. Google has been helpful for speed but us Americans are now just taking advantage of the fastness. We don't just use google for a few thing we now use google for everything because every American knows that google has everything anybody needs to know within seconds. The part of the article that cauyght my eye the most is whenever they are talking about not reading full things anymore they just skim over everything they have to read now days. Hear is a quote that one of the guy interview's said “I now have almost totally lost the ability to read and absorb a longish article on the web or in print,” thanks to the internet I beilive that google hasn't made us less smart it has just made us more lazy. We now can just type anything into the "search" panel and our answer and research needed pops up right there within seconds of searching. Overall this website created to be helpful every now and again has turned into the worlds number one thing.

Reader's Response #4

                                                                           Waiting for You
                                                                        By: Susane Colasanti
As I continue reading this book it starts to get better and better. This time I read about how Marisa's  dad is more supportive of her mental disorder, such as bipolar and depression, than her mother is. A quote in the book that leads me to this thought is " Mom is always more comfortable talking to me when I'm feeling normal, but dad reaches out no matter what. Let's just say mom didn't talk to me much when I was at my worse." In the next chapter I read  Marisa goes over to her neighbor Nash's house to do a chemistry lab write up. This is the second scene in the book with these two characters and you can really tell, even from the start, that there is an "awkward" flirtatious connection between them. I feel as a first time reader of  this book the further along in the story we will see Nash and Marisa together.

Readers Response #3

                                                                        Waiting for You
                                                                     By: Susane Colasanti

I have just started this book and so far it has really caught my eye. It's a super girly book, which I love so much. It's about this girl named Marisa that is starting her sophomore year of high school and she wants to start it as a new person. She just spent two months at a summer camp and she has returned home. the first thing she does is go see her best friend Sterling. When she see's Sterling she noticed that she isn't her dark brown hair any more she is blonde. Marisa's first reaction is " oh my god, you hair!" Marisa of course says she loves it but really she doesn't. Here comes the first day of school and Marisa is super excited until she realizes she has no classes with Sterling. Marisa is upset about it but she looks over to Sterling and she has already moved on to a new group of "friends".  That's all I have gotten to so far in the book I can really tell that I will enjoy this book and its already amazing and I already never want to put the book down.

I listened to the story face to face. On there I learned that the hurtful words that kids were using to bully others were the words that their parents were saying. I didn't realize that children catch on to thing that well.  I also learned that big things like 9/11 and Pearl Harbor have big effects on peoples lives.

Readers Response

                                                            Where The Red Fern Grows
                                                                     By: Wilson Rawls

I have read this book many times before but I always go back and reread it because its my favorite! I love everything about this book it's a book that I never thought I would enjoy but I reread it and I just can't get enough of it.  This book is about a kid who wants two hound dogs but his grandfather can't afford them. The young boy works his butt off and earns enough money to get them. The hound dogs get into town and the young boy goes and picks them up and names the two dogs Little Ann and Old Dan. He trains the dogs to hunt coons and by coon season the dogs are all trained and ready to go. I'm not done reading this book yet but I love it so far and there is nothing I would want to change about this book.

Inspiration

Many things inspire me to write but the one thing that I could write forever about is my best friend and boyfriend. We have shared so many memories together that I could write about this topic forever. The main reason I could write about this topic forever is because he is the one that always pushes me to try my best and to succeed. He's something that I would be proud to write about forever and ever.

                                                                  Pain and wasting's
                                                                    By: Carrie Mac
This book is interesting but hard to understand and follow. In this book the two main characters are two guys that never stay out of trouble. Right now the guys snuck into Playland amusement park and started climbing the roller coasters. The cops show up and one of the guy's (Ethan) tries running away from  the cops but the "cop" dog caught him and put a huge bite in his leg. Ethan is disrespecting the police officer and the officer doesn't put up with it and says " just some foul language that don't get you nowhere." I haven't gotten that far into the book yet but I have my a prediction on what will happen and that is that Ethan is going to change his world around because he falls in love with a lovely, beautiful young lady.

I am Poem

I am the daughter, the sister, the youngest, the girl who moved from small town to big town.

I am a daddy’s girl a mother’s favorite girl, and a parent’s only girl.

I am a brown headed, hazel eyed, freckled young lady trying to find herself.

I am a Tom boy at heart but a girly girl at appearance.

I am one of second experiences, second chances and first daddy daughter time.

I am afraid of life as much as I’m excited for the future.

I am a wannabe shopaholic with not enough money.

I am a girlfriend of a never expected relationship.

I am a grass fairy, a football lover, and #47’s biggest fan.

I am a sweet, chocolaty, Andy’s Frozen Custard worker.

I am a food lover but vegetable hater.

I am a collector of pink, chubby, adorable pigs.

I am a fearful hip surgery survivor.

I am a warm, bright, summer loving gal.

I am the tiny star shinning in a big city.

I am me.
